Time-Machine Accident

This project was created as part of my graduate program in response to the prompt “a time machine accident,” to merge two distinct historical aesthetics. I combined ancient Egypt with 1920s England, blending architectural forms, design motifs, and visual language from both eras to create a cohesive environment shaped by temporal collision.

The workflow utilized Autodesk Maya for asset modeling and scene assembly, ZBrush for high-resolution sculpting and detail refinement, and Adobe Substance tools for texture authoring. Emphasis was placed on clean topology, accurate proportions, and efficient UV layouts to support high-quality texture mapping.

Key areas of focus included hard-surface and organic modeling, sculpt-driven detail, UV optimization, and physically based texturing to achieve realistic material definition consistent with each time period. Asset development was guided by historical references to ensure that surfaces, wear patterns, and construction methods aligned with their respective eras, while remaining visually compatible within a single scene.
